Friars Walk Dunstable Could Get Speed Humps

A Traffic Management Meeting on 11 March will consider a plan to install three speed humps at regular intervals along Friars Walk, to be located approximately outside numbers 4, 14 and 22.

Friars Walk runs between Dunstable High Street –(A5183) and the Bullpond Lane/First Avenue roundabout. There are currently no physical features in this section and the route does give the potential for rat-running to avoid the town centre.

No response was received following the posting of a public notice from the Ward member or Town council. Bedfordshire Police responded separately and did not object nor raise any comments. Three representations were received by email to the traffic consultation, all were in favour.
