Counter Terrorism In Eastern England #GunsOffOurStreets

Police across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk are reminding the public of some simple steps to take in the unlikely event of a marauding gun attack. It's National Counter Terrorism Awareness Week and the follows anniversary of the Paris attacks by gunmen and suicide bombers who left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded on 13 November 2015. Det Supt Glen Channer, of the Eastern Region Counter Terrorism Intelligence Unit, is urging people to view a video, called Run, Hide, Tell, that gives advice on what to do if confronted by terrorists. The video explains that it is important to run to a place of safety, which is a better option than to surrender or negotiate. If there is nowhere to run then hide, since is better to hide than confront. Turn your phone to silent and turn off vibrate. Barricade yourself in if you can.
